A slice of Chinatown is heading for Camden as Bun House is opening an outpost at Camden Market’s Hawley Wharf. The new spot will pay homage to the Dai Pai Dong stalls common on the streets of Hong Kong, with a mix of Bun House classics and some new takes on comfort food on the menu. Dishes include sticky salt lime chicken nuggets; cumin, salt & pepper waffle fries; crispy shiitake nuggets with house ranch; Shanghai-style cold noodles with sesame chilli sauce; slow-cooked satay beef stew with fluffy rice or glass noodles; pork or veg dumplings in soy sauce vinaigrette; bitesize Hong Kong French toast in coconut kaya butter; and the salted egg yolk & coconut milk custard bun. YUM.
With warmer weather (hopefully) on the way, the drinks menu will feature a range of summer coolers, including HK iced milk teas, as well as a rotating selection of Asian craft beers like Lucky Buddha Beer and Tiger Beer – perfect for some canalside eating and drinking.
