All the photos that made us hungry this week.

All the photos that made us hungry this week.

The Circuit Breaker may have been lifted, but the celebs are still staying home and tinkering around in the kitchen. Ya Hui made a refreshing Hongkong-style dessert, Ferlyn Wong tempted us with Hai Chi Jia’s mouth-watering instant suan la fen (sour, spicy noodles), and hunks Pierre Png and Desmond Tan showed us just how attractive men can be when they cook.

What he ate: Seafood feast

Yummy factor: With time on hand, Pierre made sure to put the fresh seafood he got from Raw Cuts to good use. Other than stir-frying clams with minced garlic and XO sauce, Pierre steamed an entire tray of meaty crabs too. According to Pierre, that’s the best way to savour the sweetness of fresh crabs.

What she ate: Focaccia bread with olives

Yummy factor: These may just be the prettiest focaccia breads we’ve ever seen. Yvonne took the effort to decorate them with “flowers” in the form of parsley, cherry tomatoes, black olives, and more. What a fun activity it must have been for her kids.

What she ate: Suan la fen (sour, spicy noodles)

Yummy factor: Hai Chi Jia's instant cup noodles are all the rage at the moment, and Ferlyn decided to host an Instagram Live session while snacking on the spicy clams version. Safe to say, she’s digging the chewy glass noodles, even though she almost choked on the soup while slurping it up. The kick from the broth is well worth it!

What she ate: 3D jelly cakes

Yummy factor: These 3D jelly cakes from The Vanilla Bean are so pretty and intricate, it’s no wonder Carole and her daughter Brooklyn had to snap photos with it. Shaped like a pond with koi swimming amidst lifelike blooms, the cake is made with natural ingredients and low in sugar - yay to guilt-free treats!

What he ate: Garlic baked prawns

Yummy factor: Who else thinks Desmond would make a really dashing chef? We were almost too distracted to focus on the perfectly-cooked prawns... Which look really delish by the way. Keen to know how it’s done? Check out the recipe on #StayHomeCookOff on meWATCH.

What she ate: Roast pork belly

Yummy factor: While Fann has been busy baking all manners of breads and cakes, hubby Christopher Lee has been just as busy at the stove. Check out the fine slab of siu yok he made, served alongside handmade noodles and plenty of fried shallots — Fann’s a fan alright!

What she ate: Prawn rolls

Yummy factor: Because lobster rolls are a little heavy on the wallet, Rozz shared a recipe that features its more tender and affordable cousin — prawns. Paired with homemade mayonnaise and chips on the side, this is one yummy dish that Rozz declares you have to make.

What he ate: Birthday cakes

Yummy factor: Lee Teng’s celebration for his 37th birthday (May 30) may have been a simple affair at home, but he sure felt loved with the multitude of cakes sent to him, including a tropical creation from Ms Durian.

What she ate: Brioche feuilletée

Yummy factor: Tanya attempted to bake her own brioche feuilletée for the first time, and they look like they could have been from a pâtisserie. Those dense layers of light, flaky pastry and caramelised chocolate look amazing from every angle.

What she ate: Oxtail stew

Yummy factor: Mmm.. What a hearty pot of oxtail stew Ah Jie got to enjoy! Gifted by friends, the oxtail is caramelised and slow-cooked for hours with plenty of herbs, tomato puree, wine, and lots of love. Talk about a dish with heart.

What he ate: Bak kut teh

Yummy factor: What better way to celebrate the last week of the Circuit Breaker period (on a rainy day, no less) than with some peppery goodness from Legendary Bak Kut Teh? Couple that with plenty of fried dough fritters, braised pork trotters and ngoh hiang and you’ve got yourself a deeply satisfying meal like Justin’s.

What she ate: Almond milk jelly

Yummy factor: Ya Hui’s mummy got to know of this almond milk jelly recipe from a Hongkonger friend, and Ya Hui appears to have mastered the technique. For some wobbly goodness, head on down to her Instagram account for the full recipe.

What she ate: Elevated local favourites

Yummy factor: For Jeanette to make an exception and leave the house to pick up her lunch during this period, it must taste pretty impressive. And we certainly weren’t disappointed by the mouthwatering Instagram Story updates by Jeanette — check out the boneless har cheong chicken wings and Bincho Grilled Chicken Yakitori (basically, it’s satay lah) she got from Miss Vanda, local Michelin-starred restaurant Labyrinth's new delivery arm — they looked amazing and certainly too much for one.

Yummy factor: Who needs to head out when you can cook your own tteokbokki at home? Tay Ying got to fry up her own spicy Korean rice cakes with ease, thanks to the DIY kit from Hanguk Kitchen. It's as simple as whipping up instant noodles.

What she ate: Apple cinnamon pie

Yummy factor: Now that the lockdown in Paris has been lifted, Sharon can finally treat herself to a cone of gelato from the popular Amorino, as well as fresh bakes like an apple pie (stuffed with plenty of sliced fruit!) from Circus Bakery.

What she ate: Homecooked delights

Yummy factor: Something ignited a fire in Xiuhuan, who googled and learnt to whip up three different dishes in just one day. Think sweet and sour pork ribs with vinegar, egg fried rice that’s reminiscent of Din Tai Fung’s, as well as Korean-style japchae.

What she ate: Sizzling steak

Yummy factor: A rare date night out saw Kelly and her hubby Roger Yo visiting Home Steak in Taipei, one of his fave spots for a solid steak. And judging by Kelly’s mukbang-style Instagram Story update, she loves her juicy red meat too.

Yummy factor: With food deliveries becoming more convenient than ever, a late-night mao shan wang fix like Noah’s is merely a couple of clicks away. Who else is tempted to order a box of creamy goodness tonight?

What she ate: Speculoos brownies

Yummy factor: Stuffed with chunky speculoos jam, these freshly-baked brownies from Bella Bakes — Julie Tan’s newest F&B venture with friends — have made their way to Cheryl’s must-have list for fudgey goodness. Wonder if Cheryl likes them better than her own.

Yummy factor: Decorating cookies with bags of icing, rainbow sprinkle and edible hearts while dressed in Little Twin Stars pyjamas? It probably doesn’t get more comfortable (and cuter) than this. Plus, has anyone else noticed that the pastel-hued icing matches Bonnie’s PJs?
